Finshed Lily Rosenberry

Realizing I have failed miserably with my blog I'm now playing catch up.

Finished: Lily Rosenberry

The top is ready for my quilting. Plan is to machine quilt it when the Arizona temperature drops below 100.  Closer to November!

I loved working on this.  A real challenge  with over 320 circles.  Prepping all of the pieces was important to stay on tract.  Making the circles using Karen Kay Buckely's perfect circles had them ready when I could sit down and stitch. I did, however, find working on the boarder was a different experience.  When working on a block it is less fabric and easily transportable.  Doing applique on a large, wide boarder is a bit awkward and not as easily worked on while sitting in a doctor's office or traveling. But the finished project made it worth the "learning curve".

I hope you are enjoying your stitching, whatever your passion maybe.

  1. Beautiful job Penny. I am keen to make my Lily as a tribute to lovely Sue Garmin.
